Who We Are

Elders with Roots CIC is a Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit organisation set up to benefit the community, especially older people and those over 65. Our aim is to help elders stay independent, access the support they're entitled to, and improve their quality of life.

We believe that every person has an ethnicity and a story, and that no one should be excluded from support. One of our core values is to reach out to individuals who are socially excluded or from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that equality, fairness, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

In addition to providing direct support, we signpost clients to other local services, such as community groups, health teams, and well-being organisations, to ensure they receive the full range of help available.

What We Do

We offer free or low-cost, culturally appropriate, person-centred advice and support to help older adults meet their full entitlements, improve well-being, and stay connected.

We are here to help you:

Stay independent, confident, and in control of your life
Understand and apply for benefits you may be eligible to
Communicate and share relevant information with services and organisations on your behalf, if you give us permission

We always treat your personal information with respect, confidentiality, and care.

Why Our Work Matters

Many older adults, particularly those from Black and Asian communities, are unaware of the benefits available to them or find the application process too daunting. Language barriers, complex forms, and a lack of culturally sensitive support mean that thousands of eligible people miss out on vital financial help. Elders with Roots exists to bridge that gap—ensuring that no elder is left behind and that everyone receives the dignity and support they deserve.

Our One-Off Fee Structure (Only if you are successful)

We do not charge you anything up front.

If your benefits application is successful, we charge a one-time fee. This helps cover the cost of our support.

You only pay if your claim is successful

There are no weekly or monthly charges

We will always explain this before we go ahead

If the application is not successful, there is no charge

This fee is paid from the awarded money, never in advance

In short, we don't get paid unless the client gets the award and our purpose is to help people receive the support they deserve without creating extra financial stress.
